Twenty-One

Can it be?  Cate is twenty-one already?  Yes, twenty-one months.  Today.  Which means she is just three months shy of turning two!

It's still so weird to think of her as a toddler.  These past twenty-one months have flown by.  I still can't believe it's already November.

And I really can't believe I have an almost two year old!  Cate is starting to put words together and form simple sentences.  She can say "I love you" (and even said it to me as I got her out of the car today, without any prompting), "more milk," "I'm okay," and "alright baby." 

She's had a great (almost full) week with our new childcare routine (three days with one of our awesome friends from small group and two days with our awesome friends from our old church).  And in the last week and a half of this new routine she's gotten to go to a preschool Halloween parade (for our friend's oldest daughter), the Children's Museum, Chuck E' Cheese, and the Kid City indoor playground at our church.  I was a little nervous about having to switch childcare mid-school year, but Cate's smiles everyday when I pick her up show me she's had no trouble adjusting. 

She's even learning how to cough into her elbow!  We just have to remind her to do it when she does cough.

So, Miss Cate, Happy 21 Month Birthday to you!  Mommy and Daddy love you very much and are so proud of the little girl you are becoming.
