Brennan loves to be on his tummy. And Cate loves to help with Brennan. So it should come as no surprise that tummy time is a perfect opportunity to allow Cate and Brennan to "play" together.

She loves to shake rattles for him and show him his
black and white book and
flashcards.

At her three-year checkup yesterday, Cate weighed in at 34.5 pounds and is 37.5 inches tall. She's a growing girl. And you know those little people she likes to draw? The ones that look like this?

Apparently that's a skill that they expect a five-year-old to have. According to our pediatrician, children should be able to draw one body part for each year of age. So a typical three year old can typically draw a person with three body parts. But Cate's people have legs, arms, eyes, mouths, noses, and hair. Maybe we have a budding artist on our hands.

That is interesting about Cate's drawings. I had never heard that before. She obviously pays attention to detail and strives to recreate what she sees in her artwork. I will be interested to see how it develops and where she is artistically when she is 5.
